This is a very nice well kept family owned facility. My brother in law lives comfortably in the independent living and they offer for the assisted care in the future as well. In the independent living they have redone the cottages which are up to date style, granite countertops, new appliances and new bathrooms. The cottages are very spacious, very bright and very well lit, the grounds are green, very clean, and very lively. They have a nice gazebo that overlooks the pond, the fountain in the pond. This is licensed as a boarding house, not an assisted living. (Sign says Assisted Care not Assisted Living) Your loved one can only legally stay here if they can exit the building on their own, give themselves medication with a reminder and help to open the bottles and can’t have dementia/Alzheimer's. Once they are no longer able to do those things, NJ regulations state the resident needs to be rehomed. It is unfortunate for you Colonial Manor, I have taken you off my list for consideration. If you want assistance from someone you might try other locations in the area. Many have returned my inquiries very quickly.
