Our mom spent the last three years of her life in assisted care at Colonial Manor. We were very happy with the choice we made in choosing colonial Manor. It is a very friendly and warm environment where the residents and employees are like family. The facility is very clean inside, and beautifully landscaped outdoors. The owners Andrew and Nicole are caring, and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend checking out Colonial Manor to see if it meets your needs.
Our mother has been a resident at Colonial Manor Panther Valley for about a year. When we toured the facility in our early search we looked at the independent cottages. We realized they are far nicer than expected and larger in size as well. The renovations swept us in- visually, they were very flattering. This is a very nice well kept family owned facility. My brother in law lives comfortably in the independent living and they offer for the assisted care in the future as well. In the independent living they have redone the cottages which are up to date style, granite countertops, new appliances and new bathrooms. The cottages are very spacious, very bright and very well lit, the grounds are green, very clean, and very lively. They have a nice gazebo that overlooks the pond, the fountain in the pond. This is licensed as a boarding house, not an assisted living. (Sign says Assisted Care not Assisted Living) Your loved one can only legally stay here if they can exit the building on their own, give themselves medication with a reminder and help to open the bottles and can’t have dementia/Alzheimer's. Once they are no longer able to do those things, NJ regulations state the resident needs to be rehomed.
