My mother is a resident at the Colonial Lodge in Terrell. My family has been very pleased. My dad was there until his passing and the treatment during his illness was very compassionate and helpful. Kim has always been very pleasant to us. Anytime things have come up that we questioned, she took care of it right away. I know that it must be hard to please that many people all at once but they do try and the trick is to consider how difficult their job must be. This place is substandard at best. the food is bad-dinner is a cold sandwich sometimes ice cold pizza- no excuse for such laziness.It doest stop with the terrible food..the rooms are dirty and the toilets and showers are unsanitary.We pay a great deal of money to insure our parents are well cared for.This is NOT happening here.The staffs concerns are more about Kim than the residents.Questions and concerns about residents are not welcomed nor handled in a caring manner .This should be a red flag to anyone considering this pl... read more

At first the staff goes out of their way for new residents, that stops after a few months. The place is understaffed and the workers they can keep are seriously overworked to the point they can not provide good service. Breakfast is often cold cereal,lunch is ok, supper is sandwich and chips.
