They do not take proper care of their clients. Patients are Over medicated so much that their heads are in their plates of food. They are supposed to change the patients ever 2 hours and they don’t. Patients walk around with their diapers so wet that they are hanging off of them. I am contacting WIS TV and DHEC regarding Colonial Gardens and their staff. My loved one was in your facility for over a year, while we had our ups and downs with care, I believe overall it was a very good experience,especially when compared to the next facility to which he was moved. No place is perfect or cares for a loved one as we would. The attention to each resident, the employees who consider this a calling, make your facility one of the best. With minor improvements, ie, more new employee dementia training, you could be considered a model for future facilities.
Both my mother and father reside here. We looked at MANY places before deciding this would be their home. So many of the staff are truly fulfilling their calling by caring for those that can no longer care for themselves. Brenda, the administrator, loves each and every resident there like they were her very own family. My parents are happy, well cared for and even me and family are treated with kindness and compassion for what we go through watching our loved ones enduring these horrible diseases. JOB FAIR WAS TODAY. BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A JOB OPPORTUNITY TO CARE FOR THE ELDERLY WITH THE CARE AND COMPASSION. THEY ARE STILL HIRING. WALK IN GET APPLICATION AND RETURN IT. INTERVIEW MAYBE ON THE SPOT. I LOVE IT BECAUSE I AM HOME NOW AND LOVE THE STAFF. GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN THE CARE OF THE ALHEIZMER COMMUNITY.
