I purchased my home from Richmond in March 2024. In January 2026 I did a maintenance tune-up and found that Richmond and their vendor, Unique Heating and Air did not adjust for high altitude, so the settings were much too high. At altitude, a furnace needs lower gas pressure because thinner air reduces oxygen, and the "factory settings" from Texas was extremely too high and would eventually burn out my furnace, particularly the heat exchange. We have had consistent problems with the heating and Air Conditioning in this house. For a less than 2 year old house, we have had 20+ appointments for troubleshooting why the Air conditioning either doesn’t work or significantly underperforms (85+ degrees In certain rooms). And now in winter, the furnace has been inoperable due to blower motor issues, with a third party company that we had to hire finding PVC shavings in the system due to installer carelessness. We are arriving home finding the house in the 50 degree range.
Sales team and Loan team is very bad . They are not responsible and disappointed and disrespectful. If you want to have last minute problems they are the best .closing day they did not respond any my questions.
We had a great experience with the salesman Mr. Oliver Schlensog. He went above and beyond to show us houses and gave us all the relevant details as well. Oliver was very detail oriented, very warm and welcoming and highly knowledgeable! Thank you Oliver!
Richmond Homes seem great. My wife and I were extremely excited to do a new build with because with interest rates what they are it made sense with the incentives they were offering. We picked out a lot, model and put our earnest money down. At that point we were told we wouldn’t know what our interest rate be until 90 days to close, because the incentives were always changing.
