Very relaxed but thorough examination. All office personnel were pleasant. Dr. Mercer is a caring and competent provider. Dr.Mercer has left the group. Having seen another doctor in the group, I changed my review to 1 star. I don't recommend this group and will seek out a different provider.
I took my friend to see Dr. Colon. She had been to specialists up north who had looked at her MRI and told her that her future was hopeless. Dr. Colon came highly recommended from several of our friends and he lived up to the praises. He looked, listened and offered thoughtful/sensitive advice. He took away the former doomsday forecast. This review does not reflect\ on the doctors, staff, nor the facilities of Collier Neurologic Specialists. However, my wife was referred there for some biopsies that were performed by nurse practitioner Nicole Miller. And my review does not reflect on nurse Miller's knowledge or abilities. She seemed to take the biopsies adequately. But she has absolutely the worst bedside manner that I have ever experienced. we found that the doctor spoke too rapidly and did not slow down when asked; also did not talk directly to the patient. Specifically brought a meds list which never made it from the nurse to doctor. Not satisfactory at al.
So I got a phone call after getting a referral from my doctor. I talked with them on the phone and gave my insurance number and info. They said I’d have a co pay and that was fine. I woke up early, drove my kids accross town as I went to my appointment, and got there. They took my cars and gave me tons of pages of paperwork to fill out. I returned them and only then they call me up and say they don’t take my insurance and can’t see me. I’m sick to my stomach.
