I had a family member stay there for only a very short time because we are really disappointed with the care. When we went for a tour, the place was very nice and had homey feely. Prior to moving in we were told several things that would be done to keep our family member happy and healthy. Because our dad had a very difficult time walking, we were told they would help he get out of bed, into a wheelchair or recliner. But the only time they would do this was when we insisted. My friend has a loved one here and several times I have accompanied them to visit.When visiting you almost always findn staff sitting and on their phones or no where to be found. I've even saw a few sleeping!
My father has been at College Manor for a year. He was anxious and resistant in the beginning. However, the staff were patient and he has grown to love his new "home". He really appreciates the daily activities. College Manor has a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend.
