My mom with dementia was here for a brief time. The top floor (which they say is for people that need more care) is a nightmare. The residents that have serious struggles (cognitive and physical ) are allowed to wander at night, residents are walking around half dressed. The caretakers did not know empathy in any firm of the word. Stay away!

Odd that I can't respond to College Manor's comment. I will be more than happy to privately provide you with my contact information. It was a horrible experience for my mother, me and my family. You really need to step it up. My mother was in this facility for a little over 2 years. Initially she was in hospice care and then was discharged. She was in a very small room which was good because she was not supposed to walk. However, she was stubborn and insisted on trying to do that. I had a family member stay there for only a very short time because we are really disappointed with the care. When we went for a tour, the place was very nice and had homey feely. Prior to moving in we were told several things that would be done to keep our family member happy and healthy. Because our dad had a very difficult time walking, we were told they would help he get out of bed, into a wheelchair or recliner. But the only time they would do this was when we insisted. My friend has a loved one here and several times I have accompanied them to visit.When visiting you almost always findn staff sitting and on their phones or no where to be found. I've even saw a few sleeping!
