This company is dishonest and will take your donated items without getting back to you or providing you with a receipt or even calling you back. I had a junk removal job scheduled a week ago and they were supposed to donate my items and get back to me with a tax receipt and I’ve heard nothing. They will also change the quote on you after they arrive from the original quote you’re given. This was my second time using College Hunks. They were professional and efficient and polite. And they were very gracious about my hands on supervision. They treated my stuff with care and packed it well. We got the job done in half the time originally estimated.
I am submitting a formal complaint regarding services provided by College Hunks Moving in Sarasota. Prior to the move, I provided the salesperson with a detailed list of all items to be moved. Based on this information, I was quoted $1,700, with an estimated duration of approximately six hours. On the day of the move, the crew arrived on time and was courteous; however, the move ultimately took more than double the estimated time (9am-9:30pm), causing the total cost to increase from $1,700 to $3,600. So impressed with how quick these young men worked! They were MOVING!! I was very stressed moving from Tampa to Saint Pete less than a week before Christmas but the boys that handled our move took care of everything within a couple hours. We are a military family that has moved three times in the past 18 months and we have never had such a pain free experience!
Called College Hunks last minute to help me move my couch in that I couldn’t fit through my doorway. Not only were they extremely accommodating and made sure to find a crew that could help last minute, but they told me they would only charge me if they were able to complete the task. College hunks completely turned a very stressful day into a success. The movers had a great attitude and were so kind. Thank you so much!
