UPDATE 10/17 - After submitting a claim on 10/3 (I asked for $200 to be returned, splits the extra cost of the time), I received a response on 10/9. They apologized for my experience and stated , “I can get $175 approved as a full settlement but we kindly ask you (not requiring you, because that is illegal) to delete your negative online reviews.” I responded on 10/10, that I am asking for $200 back and anything less would not suffice and that asking me to delete my review is shady. I would be cautious of working with College Hunks for moving. The quote I received for my move was inaccurate and their services costed me more than double my original quote. I was quoted 4 hours for a move on 9/26 at $179/hour with 2 men. I was very clear what my items were and that I had 3 flights of stairs. When the movers arrived at my condo, they took a look at my stuff and claimed that it would probably only take 3 hours. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. YOU'D HAVE A MORE ENJOYABLE MOVE BY SETTING YOUR POSSESSIONS ON FIRE. Absolutely the worst moving company I've ever experienced. They were an hour late, packed the truck so inefficiently that they couldn't fit all of our stuff, banged walls, dropped items, lost items, etc. We moved THIRTY MINUTES AWAY from a 1200 sqft house. Just had some furniture moved and put back together after being in a storage unit for a week! des and Billy were so fast, kind and efficient! We have used college hunks multiple times before and we have never been disappointed.
The way these business loads and organizes junks will take advantage of you. For what is like maybe half a load, they will make excuses and charge for a full load. Don't use this company.
