I made a doctors appointment with Dr. Colgan for my teenage son through my job's EAP program, which allows six sessions to be covered by my employer. Dr. Colgan spent 7/8 of the office visit demanding information on how he was going to pay for the visit. Then, when she minimized his reason for being in the office. Then, she kept texting him wondering when the EAP was going to pay her--as if he knew She traumatized my son so that he feels he can trust no professional with his deepest concerns.

I have been seeing Dr. Colgan for several years and it has been life-changing. I came to her in a crisis and she has patiently worked with through that crisis and helped me make lasting changes to how I look at life. I wish I had gone a long time ago, but I am very grateful to have found her. She is compassionate, professional and very smart.

Dr. Colgan prefers her patients not be on MediCAL. After making an appointment with me and not telling me what she needed I arrived at her office to be grilled about my insurance info. After a call to Optum healthcare she swore she needed the last five digits of my MediCAL ID number or she could not Bill Optum. We called Optum (who she was also very rude to) and they told her that was not required but she threw me out of her office anyway and told me to come back with the info.

Would you recommend this psychologist to others? Absolutely Not Would you refer this psychologist to a family or friend? No, If I had known how terrible they were I never would have gone. Is this psychologist easy to reach in an emergency? No. It took me several times to get through. Was it easy to find parking at this psychologist's office? Exceptionally Profesional – If you're serious about needing and getting help and support for yourself, there is no one that I could recommend greater than Dr. Colgan. She manifests superb knowledge and compassion, yet she is tough and as solid as they come. Whether you're wanting to weather the path you're currently on, or a new one you may travel alone, she will provide you with all the necessary skills to stand and walk bravely into your future, so don't go looking for her hand. For me, she's been the best!
