The views and location are great. The parking was easier than other spots in OC. The beach is really close, and the sand volleyball court is a super nice thing to have. However, this place is past its prime. The lobby is not at all inviting, and the outdoor pool is tiny and boring. The indoor pool on the top floor seemed to be a hit with younger families, but it was too small and noisy to be worthwhile for ours (pre-teen and early teans). The condo is dated #809. Everything is worn out. With the exception of the bathroom outlet, NONE of them hold a plug- don’t plan on charging anything or keeping lights on. The curtains are hanging off, they don’t close on the left side or the middle. The shower is falling apart, hot water handle is hanging on my a thread, also if you’re of average height, then you’re too tall for the shower and have to bend down to rinse your hair (I’m 5’6”). Found cockroaches in unit. Would like a complete refund due to leaving after finding them in unit
We stayed in Condo 711. We’ve been staying at Golden Sands for 22 years. Whoever owns condo 711 is my long lost sister. For 22 years, I’ve toted towels, hand towels, dish stuff, bed sheets, blankets, TP snd paper towels along with food. This condo provided 3 bags/baggies upon arrival.. one with kitchen and trash stuff, one with towels for each guest and one with bathroom toiletries. The bed had clean linens and proper pillows.
