We arrived at 8.30 tonight. There was a family of four behind us. Everyone who came in after that family was turned away. About 10–15 people. They tried turning away a little boy but the family of 4 left so he could get some ice cream. I went into the Willow Grove location with my 5 year old son. He had been asking for ice cream all day. We walked in at 8:40pm and the store doesn’t close until 9. We were immediately told we could not be served because the line would cause the 2 girls working to have to work past the 9pm close time. I asked them kindly if they could just help because my son only wanted a small scoop. They still told me they couldn’t serve us as my son started to cry. Overpriced and understaffed. I'd chalk it up to lots of places experiencing something similar in this economy, but from the other reviews I saw after the fact it's been this way for years.
Store sign says OPEN. HOURS OF OPERATION for Friday and Saturday 12-10. Person inside walked away when we pulled up. You could at least change the sign. It’s the summer and memorial weekend.
We love this Cold Stone location—especially the peanut butter ice cream, which is always rich and delicious. The staff is quick and efficient, even when there's a line. It’s our favorite treat spot for a sweet fix. Never disappoints.
