My friend came in for help and was discharged without seeing anyone! Now he's fighting for his life in Hospital and probably won't make it! This Heath care system is Failing people!
It will take many hours before you can see a doctor. The nurses are helpful, they will give basic pain meds, but it’s not worth waiting if you are not in immediate danger. Find a walk-in clinic instead or make an appointment using Maple. They basically aren’t operating during the night except for serious emergencies. I tried staying the night to see if I would see a doctor, arrived at 5pm and gave up by 8:45am the next morning. From about 12:00 until 7:00, no one got called in. 6+ hours wait time! Better off driving to the USA for urgent care, thank god we have that option. Can’t wait to see canada become the 51st state and actually get first world healthcare.
Received compassionate care, nurse even brought me a snack as I hadn’t ate in 24 hours.
I really like the care were getting here for our children I’ve made the decision in the past to wait 8+ hrs here for the care we get after we’ve been seen compared to IWK which has less wait but the care isn’t as good then today I had the surprise of getting in in 1 hr and staff doesn’t seem as tired or stressed out Think we are starting to notice the difference in our health care with the changes that have been made
