UPDATE: We dinner at Coho again after our last visit a year ago (see previous review below). And I honestly can’t say enough of how wonderful this place is. The attention to detail is outstanding and we never feel rushed. We truly feel like we are guests in someone’s home rather than a restaurant because of the warmth, generosity and level of hospitality from the entire staff. Chef Tim is James Beard Award worthy. What a find! This was our first time visiting San Juan Island and we stumbled upon Coho on Resy. From the moment we walked into the cozy and intimate space, we were warmly welcomed by the excellent team. We both ordered the four course prix fixe and tried out 8 dishes from starters to dessert. As a SJI resident, the thing I’m most disappointed with is having waited this long to dine at Coho. For someone who travels a lot for work and is constantly searching for good restaurants/experiences, it’s crazy to now realize this place exists on this island. Coho Restaurant is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Friday Harbor. Food, service and atmosphere 10 out of 10. Recommend to make advance reservations.
