I usually don't leave reviews but this place deserves one! The very first time I ordered my first batch of coffee beans from Coffee by the Roast, immediately I was able to pick up the difference from all those other brands. If you live nearby and want fresh coffee this is definitely the place. I placed a few orders and have never been disappointment and will continue to buy my coffee here!
Paul and Carrie, by far, provide the best coffee in the Country. I have had coffee from the NE—SW, SE, NW, SW, etc. No one can match their selection, and they roast the beans perfectly; Paul has the magic touch. You will not find better quality coffee anywhere in the continental US.
The owners of this establishment could not be any kinder, hence the 2 stars given. However, the coffee is not at all what it should be given the price. I am so so glad I did not splurge for the 73.00 coffee here. My first order, second photo beans in the plastic cup, were ordered to be roasted "city roast" which is 420 degree. The cup if coffee above that plastic cup was roasted at 420 from a different roaster (also came in the mail from NC). The world has master chefs The world has master brewers The world needs this roaster to be awarded as a master roaster. (If there isn’t an award there should be) He has dedicated his long life to the art and it shows . His kind lovely wife does the buying and you can almost see her back lit surrounded by birds and animals. When searching for a good roast look no further but when you search find out the history of the guy who is roasting . Other roasters practice on your dime . This guys is real and his dedication shows.
