I had a family member in Saint John Neuro trauma for 2 1/2 weeks. The major majority Of the caregivers did not provide sufficient care. They changed the doctors weekly and they we're not communicative to the family in a meaningful way. The speech/cognitive therapist with excellent as was the case manager, Amanda. The check in area needs painted and cleaned. You will wait behind security milling around the check-in and having private conversations with the staff, all this after dealing with the atrocious parking situation. When your wife/driver is handicapped its quite a challenge . Be prepared to park at the Mall. I was there for a heart procedure. and after I was acknowledged I was directed to an elevator and told to go to the third floor without any other information . Honestly this has to be the worst experience ever. Workers need to learn how to respect boundaries and they are just not respectful at all. I would never recommend this place for anyone.
The ground level and outpatient facilities are very nice and very patient available. I can't say the same for the inpatient facilities. In patient facility is cold, sterile, factory-like, depressing and institutionalized. The staff, like the facilities seem cold, detached and impersonal. They don't acknowledge your presence and avoid eye contact. I've had to make them pay attention to me while standing at the nurses station. There's nothing readily available to visitors or patients. I went to Asc. Prov. at 2100 Lake Shore today. During check on a tablet there was a section I did not agree to and could not continue. I went to the desk and explained I did not agree to the section. Melanie (what she said her name was) said you have to agree to it to continue. She checked agree, pushed other things and said I was checked in. I explained she just falsified my record, and I asked for a copy. She said she could not get me a copy, trying to explain it was on a tablet. She tried to get her manager, was too bus... read more
Very disappointed with my experience at the hospital. The doctor was extremely condescending, dismissed concerns, and spoke in a way that felt disrespectful rather than helpful. On top of that, the nursing staff was largely unresponsive and difficult to reach when assistance was needed. Communication was poor, and it added unnecessary stress during an already difficult situation. Patients deserve compassion, professionalism, and timely care — unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
The staff there was lovely. I had a problem getting a ride home, and they couldn't have been more helpful making arrangements, Kudo's.
Unreliable appointments, poor directions/instructions to facilities, incorrect addresses provided, outdated signage onsite, extremely poor customer service at the imaging center.
I spent over an hour last Friday on the phone trying to confirm a Monday, 4/28 appointment, and to learn what I needed to bring with me, and if there was any prep needed to do my biopsy. The employer said, "No, not at all, just arrive 15 minutes before your 1 pm appointment." I arrived at 12:40, and everything went downhill after that. They did not have my order in their system. We finally got to the bottom of who should have sent in my order. They faxed it in, but it did not go through their broken fax machine. I then calle... read more
