Took my brother here to celebrate his birthday and retirement such a great choice.Staff was fantastic making us feel welcome even though it was late in the day. Amazing reccomendations and help with choosing. Love the flight of bbq flavours to try. Desserts are made off site but that doesn't take away from how good they were one bit. I had the banana pudding and can only say how great it was. Look forward to next trip and enjoying great food in this veteran run business.
As soon as you walk in you are hit with an intoxicating wall of BBQ smells! That’s what I want in a BBQ joint. This inside is pretty basic, but again, that’s what I want. The food was pretty good. Pulled pork was the best I’ve ever had. Brisket was above average. Corn bread was awesome. They were out of some things on the menu, but that’s to be expected when you are popular! Normally I wouldn't reply to the owners comments but.... The review is not contradictory. My friend made the comments about the ribs not me. No, the server came back to take our order after 20 minutes and said she didn't come back because she was "letting us catch up" Not the other way around. Unless it takes 20 minutes to take care of one table, your answer doesn't add up. Yes, it was hot. Even the server commented on it to herself, saying "it's hot in this room" . Delicious! This place has the best pulled pork north of the Mason-Dixon Line & a variety of lovely sauces to slather on it. I wanted a second helping before I even finished the first!
