i paid $160 for a perm and left feeling completely disappointed. i showed multiple photos of the style i wanted, and the stylist clearly didn’t understand what i was going for. after the neutralizer was rinsed, they shampooed, conditioned, blow-dried, and combed my hair—literally everything you’re not supposed to do after a perm. i had to ask them to stop blow-drying because it was clearly damaging the curls. i walked out disgusted with what was on my head. after a few days, the waves started falling, and now it’s barely hol... read more

Went out of my way to try this place for the first time, based on the high reviews. The barber gave me a stunningly bad haircut. In the days following the cut, it has literally made me laugh out loud and I wonder what he was thinking. This salon knows the traditional “Asian” hairstyles. This stylist was not creative outside of that and certainly not responsive to specific requests that are not typical. I have been going to this salon for years and have always been impressed by the quality here! They always give excellent haircuts and every hair stylist I have had over the years has been wonderful. I have been to other hair salons and no one ever cuts my fine, wavy hair as well as they do at Coco Head and the price is also very reasonable! Cannot recommend this place enough.
