Amazing salad bar for lunch. The smoked salmon is amazing.
Wow! What can I say? Sodikoff does it again. Cocello is in the the old Dillman's space that was in the old Steve's Deli space. The ambience is fun. Very much like an Italian steakhouse. The food is out of control delicious. My wife and I had the fried polenta with soft boiled egg and truffle. Great. We also had the octopus. Slightly spicy and very delicious. I really hate to tell you about this place, because it might mean it is harder to get into next time, but that is better than it floundering from a lack of business. I have been here a few times and they never disappoint. Very comfortable seating with variety depending on your mood for the bar, a lounging area or differing dinner seatings. Did I mention the food? Unusual and fantastic. I am headed back tonight, so pick some other night to come and try it out.
What a hidden gem! Owned by the same restaurant gurus as Au Cheval and Bavette's, I came in ready for a fantastic meal and I am happy to say they absolutely delivered! The atmosphere is a more laid back and casual version of Bavette's, not withholding the big leather couches and dim lighting. First, I must point out they have a $6 glass of wine. Yummy. The dishes are small and meant to be shared, so get at least 2 per person. The spicy fennel pasta dish was great.
