Uncalled 4 penalties on their home team, while the other team had gotten penalties constantly without a bat of an eye. Over all very disappointed in the refs showing this attitude towards their visitor teams. There were multiple falls and tripping caused by the home team towards the visiting team. We visited this arena as part of a local hockey tournament that my son was involved with. This is an older arena but it is well maintained. There is lots of parking and cafeteria that serves a simple menu if you don’t mind fried food.
Nice small arena, but dress warmly and bring $8 in change for the 'heat'.
Cocagne Arena is a great little community rink. Ice quality is good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Perfect spot for tournaments and team games. Locker rooms are a good size, but there are only a couple of outlets, which makes it tricky if you have a skate sharpener and glove heaters going at the same time, or have multiple ones connected.
