I was very disappointed by what I witnessed today. An elderly woman was outside this business asking for help with her spare tire. Instead of offering assistance or even speaking with her, the staff closed the gate on her and turned her away. I stopped and helped her put on the spare tire myself. Regardless of whether a business is able to provide roadside assistance, showing a little compassion and treating people with respect goes a long way. Based on what I saw, this experience left a very negative impression.
We chose to eat at Coburns tonight at the Fort Worth Stock Show and never again. I ordered the chopped brisket sandwich and it looked more like cubed steak and potatoes on a bun, however the “potatoes” were just cubed fat. My husband ordered the brisket plate and requested lean brisket, literally half of his meat was fat. We paid $50 for the worst food I’ve ever had in my 40 years of going to the Stock Show.
This is a review of a well run business from the top down. Coburn Catering handled the food and drinks at a recent Ft Worth Octoberfest that my wife and I attended. I walked up to buy a couple of beers and the young lady helping me was having trouble with her POS machine. After 4 attempts she finally said “that’s ok, take your beers this isn’t working” I thanked her and joked that I hoped to not be charged 4 times.
