We stopped here the third time. Their service is awesome. The store is neat, nice & clean. It's nice that they offer special deals. Karen helped us with everything. She was fantastic. Do drop by here if you can. They have yummy samples as well.
This franchise has always been below par. Small Buns, bread slicer has been out of whack (uneven slices) and semi decent staff (warm and breathing). Cobs by Safeway in Langley is a far better store. I wonder if Clayton is under NEW MANAGEMENT - today they hit a NEW LOW !!! Gourmet buns that were NOT gourmet, but STALE and PUNY. This is the LAST time I go to the CLAYTON store, in fact, I may just give up on COBS.
We have shopped at this location through three owners now. Sad to say it we avoid it now. Miss the old staff, new sales team is overbearing and aggressive. Please stop yelling at everyone about your free samples. Lacking in variety now too, often items are sold out or you get a "we didn't make those today" Dough consistency is off and we have been sold burnt large cinnamon buns twice now.
Loved this spot for years, but the new counter staff are consistently rude and handle cash, then touch baked goods without washing up. Service feels dismissive, and the cozy neighborhood feel is gone. Would not recommend now.
