A must do in outback Queensland. Excellent value. Excellent tour guide (Chips). Excellent frienly staff. Generous meals. Coffee so so (but to be expected). Beautiful oasis. Spectacular Gorge. Friendly atmosphere.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We had the dinner and breakfast package which we liked. Staff are helpful. Location is gorgeous. We had a mostly level rocky site with power and water but no sullage. The pool is beautiful albeit a little cool for us. Some low power street lighting would be helpful at night considering the road is rocky. We'll be back.
Where do you start on describing how brilliant this place is? The gorge is a true wonder of nature and to have a glass bridge to look at it is amazing. Boat ride gives an up close feel of it and we were lucky enough to see a fresh water croc. Savannah our tour guide gave lots of information as well as skilfully navigating the gorge in a dingy with 13 people on board. We were lucky enough to visit Cobbold Gorge as part of our Heritage Tours 9 day Gulf Savannah Accommodated Bus Tour. Beautiful views, great meals & accommodation & relaxed enjoyable atmosphere. Our Tour Guide CHIPS, made our Cobbold Gorge Tour a memorable experience, especially the cruise. Definitely recommend a visit to Cobbold Gorge!
