This was our favourite accommodation on our long trip up north. More a resort than our usual camping - this was so reasonably priced that we could not resist. The powered sites were very large and well laid out. The amenities block was always clean as was the well equipped camp kitchen. Had a couple of days at Cobbald Gorge - what a fantastic experience. The tour of the gorge and the sandstone walk and across the glass bridge was amazing. Our Savannah guide Ethan was fun and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and very generous servings. We had a swim in the pool and a kyack on the dam which had a lot of birdlife. The tours were top notch! The tour guides are super knowledgeable, professional and engaging. They do an amazing job. A bit expensive for a family, but you know.. when you made it all the way ou there.. you kind of have to don't you!?
Fantastic place of beauty and interest. Highly recommend.
We stayed in a powered site with water hookup. Sites were well laid out with easy access to modern amenities, the resturant and pool. The lake had free kayaks which we took out around the lake. The walking trails were well marked and enjoyable in the morning. The tour of the George was well done, informative and worth the money.
