If I could leave a “no stars” review, I would. I can’t go into details about my care, but I will say that he is no longer affiliated with Beaufort Memorial Hospital, and for good reason. Please seek second opinions; doctors are human and although have good intentions, they can make mistakes and err in judgement. It’s your life … you owe it to yourself to get second opinions, no matter what!
I’m extremely disappointed with the experience we’ve had at this neurology office. Communication is a major issue — the office staff rarely answers the phone, and when they do, the customer service is lacking and unhelpful. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially when you’re trying to advocate for a loved one who needs timely care. When my loved one needed to be seen, it took far too long to get an appointment, which only added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. Dr. Mazzeo was informative and offered testing options to better understand my condition. Office staff also 5star
Dr. Mazzeo is extremely professional, thorough and personable. He took the time to listen to my concerns and understand what I was experiencing. After a few visits and a few tests he was able to pinpoint my problem and send me on to a surgeon who would then complete the process. Without Dr. Mazzeo, I would still be floundering with questions about my condition with no answers. Thanks to him I am on my way to recovery.
Dr. Mazzeo Is a very knowledgeable and compassionate person. One of his qualities that I very much appreciate is his ability to listen. He listens, he considers carefully to what my questions might be, and answer me from his vast experience and knowledge base.
