Changing my review after our last stay there in April 2025. The fridge was broken so our left overs spoiled and the lady at the counter did not care about our issues. Needless to say, we didn't have a fridge for the time we were there. The pillows were hard as a rock. Actually had to go buy pillows. LOTS of street noise. Would have not been so bothersome if their prices reflected the condition of the room. Parking was definitely an issue! For the price we paid, we could have definitely stayed at a nicer place. We asked for 2 twos for one night each. Then got charged for two nights each room. We were told we couldn't get a refund even though it wasn't our fault. We have stayed here for years when we visit or when family visits. This sadly will be our last time using this hotel.

The room was very clean. location was very good, however, our room was one of 3 that faced the main rd. Right on the sidewalk. The rooms do NOT have air conditioning. A floor fan was supplied. We had to have the window open all night. The traffic noise had us awake mOst of the time. The only staff we saw was nice. He was on the front desk. My recommendation, is to make sure to ask for a room at the back of the building away from the main rd. The price per night was reasonable. After several nights in big city hotels, Coastal Inn was such a refreshing and comforting sight on our trip. Our family was so happy with a home setting, our own rooms, and a kitchen. The staff, specifically Barb, was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. Beautiful town! The rooms were clean and simple and we felt most importantly, safe. We were also able to park our car right outside our room. If we are ever able to come back to Long Beach, Coastal Inn is where we'll go again. Thank you!

We will not return! We stayed here for 2 nights Good location, but you can tell the unit is not well maintained and not the cleanest place. Shower had dark things growing in there. The edges of the vinyl planks near the wall are exposed. Bed sheets had some questionable spots on them. Bad experience on the checkout day to top it off. Check out time is 11am, we came back after breakfast at 10:30am and wanted to fresh up before checking out.
