Update 20260408: Power went out and heard that pop of a transformer. Called the local number and they came out and resolved the issue in an hour. Friendly folks on the line and effective folks in the field. Even have an automated call to check if your power is on after they fixed it. Appreciate you guys! Around here we don't have competing electric companies like other places and I've been back and forth with CEC several times when getting new installation and with billing. Extremely disappointed with the service this past month. My power was nearly shut off over a $67 balance despite a recent payment, and I had to pay $80 out of pocket last-minute just to keep my kids from sitting in the dark. The customer service was unhelpful and gave incorrect information, blaming us for excessive usage and claiming a power outage. Later, the local office admitted the issue was due to a system error on their end, resulting in a month of "estimated" bills and credit reversals with no real explanation. We wer... read more
Incorrect meter readings the past few weeks , I have been overcharged during that time, and an error reading of 214 kilowatts used on Friday which is impossible I had a positive balance before Friday now all of a sudden I'm in the hole they should be sued.
Don’t recommend their service, i had 85$ prepaid left and they sent me an email talking about my account was overdue and that i had to pay 122$ plus 10$ to reconnect service. No warning or nothing. And its not the first time this happens. Completely trash service.
