Never had too many issues aside from getting address corrected. I made the request in app but since no one reached out I sent an email that was 6 sentences long. This morning I receive a call for that change and as the gentlemen called to say he wanted to verify what I was requesting “as you went on and on in your email.” After he said that he instantly went quiet and I thought that was rude. Great customer service!
Coastal EMC's phone system is horrible. We were customers for 34 years, until we moved out of their service area. We did not receive a capital credit check in Dec. 2025, and have been trying to get it sent again to our correct address. The phone system makes it impossible to get to the department that handles this. They need to make capital credit information as an option in their phone tree.
Update 20260408: Power went out and heard that pop of a transformer. Called the local number and they came out and resolved the issue in an hour. Friendly folks on the line and effective folks in the field. Even have an automated call to check if your power is on after they fixed it. Appreciate you guys! Around here we don't have competing electric companies like other places and I've been back and forth with CEC several times when getting new installation and with billing.
