The music and low key ambience is pleasant. The hush puppies are delicious with the whipped butter. The coconut shrimp are made in house and were also delicious. The crab cake sandwich checked all the boxes except 1. It was missing some sort of mayo or aioli. Hell even tartar sauce. I mean this with the upmost positivity. We hope to return soon.
3.5 stars overall. The Cesar salad made me violently ill on 7/16/26. It also made another in my party ill, so interpret that as you will. Took me out of commission for the night but recovered the next day. I ate outside and the patio is nice and I understand you’re outside, but be wary of bugs. Great NC experience. Local NC grits are a star on several parts of the menu. Seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff is friendly and not bothered like some beach wait staffs. Breakfast is one of the best deals in this or any area. Tap Shack and outdoor area is a true relaxing family friendly hangout spot. Will be a recurring stop on any future trips out here.
i asked for a cheese burger and it was too rare with juice coming out constantly. there are flys everywhere around your food, also i asked for nothing on my cheese burger and they gave me really nothing. i had to get a slice of cheese for it. and then i go to the bathroom to wash my hands and there is no soap. the other bathroom is still locked for over ten mins.
