Office is closed to walk in, they never answer the phone, it always goes to voice mail, and they don’t return calls…… Terrible service for the past few years. The place has gone down hill big time.

I have found Jocelyn has been great helping with auto insurance over the years. However, recently my 10 year life insurance was expiring and I didn’t realize it auto-renewed, jumping up almost $500 a month. I was doing chemo during the renewal and behind in reading email, so didn’t detect the change. What other business would jack your price over $5,000 a year and not get your explicit consent?! I phoned 2 weeks ago. Asked for a quote on tenant insurance. A lady said she would try to get one before day is out. I never heard back from her. So just this past week I phoned again. Left a message. Nobody has called me back.

The local office in Port Elgin is doing its best to help. However, the struggle starts when the adjuster in the GTA office does his best to squeeze you and challenge any benefit that you expect after years and years of payments. I was not at fault in serious accident and the very second day the adjuster argued me for hours in my right to have a rental car until we agree in a fair settlement. Was really bad experience over the x-mass holidays.

Currently working remotely, the agents at The Co-Operators still offer sound insurance advice. I recently inquired about health insurance and was offered several options that were very competitive with other insurance providers, with the added bonus of a personal touch from a member of my own community.
