I always like this section of the trail. Clean and well maintained. It's nice to see the bridge, along with pretty views of the river. I've used this section up by the railroad bridge to launch my kayak. 5 paws up too for my dog's review.
Great access point to the towpath and path up to the Shepherdstown Bridge with two parking lots and restroom portopotties.
It's a great place to start a walk or ride on the C&O parking is very very limited. It would be better to head down river to another parking area. Less than .25 miles.
