I was treated with respect. They helped me navigate the problems i was dealing with and gave me great advice on how to deal with it in the future.
Shame on this place — and honestly, on London, Ontario as a whole. It feels like everywhere that’s supposed to help with mental health just hires anyone, even people who clearly don’t care. If you only care about the paycheck and not the people, you shouldn’t be working with those who are struggling. All you’re doing is pushing people away from getting the help they need, what a shame.
If you're in a crisis and desperately need don't come here. Ive had many many very odd and weird experiences here. The employees and volunteers seem to have their own issues. It's almost as if they need their own crisis worker. They are uneducated, inexperienced and most importantly lack compassion. I get it they are probably over worked and underpaid and some don't even get paid. The actual center is wonderful and there are friendly staff always willing to help. However, I would not recommend getting a temporary psychiatrist here, if you do, say no to Doctor Robinson (the only male psych.) He was extremely rude both towards me and in the file written about me. I was scared, I needed help, and he told me he didnt believe me. His previous negligence has affected parts of my diagnosis process now. I have gotten a full psych evaluation from a trustworthy psychiatrist and a real diagnosis but his papers a... read more
