It's scary to hear a doctor in the emergency room tell you that you should be living in Portland or somewhere closer to other better medical resources, and that I should not return to his emergency room. Ask him about the "I'm looking in the mirror here" conversation with his patient and about living on the coast. I went to the ER with a really high HR, BP, abdominal pain, likely brought on by the chronicly painful existing injuries I have in my back and leg from a recent injury. I would give this place zero stars if I could, because i feel that one star is generous. We brought my mom into the CMH ER because she was having chest pains. It was a slow night, and she explained to the nurse and doctor that she has high blood pressure and a family history of heart disease, and that her father had a heart attack at her age. I've had both good and not so great experiences here, but I will say, every time I've been here, the nurses have taken really good care of me and been really nice. One of the most notable moments I've had was when a nurse was able to figure out what was wrong with me within a short period if time after years of wondering what was wrong with me.
