Reasons NOT to buy into Club Wyndham points: 1) You’ll spend about $20K for “points” (aka “air”), which entitle you to travel to various resorts, and you’ll get some “bonus points” for your first 2 years to give you a taste of what you could be enjoying if you, of course, buy more points later. Various point levels = basic Pyramid Scheme. 2) Maintenance fees (charged monthly to your Wyndham Rewards credit card) go toward maintenance/amenities at ALL Wyndham resorts. Worst Part of Our Vacation – Huge Waste of Time! I wish I could give zero stars for the Club Wyndham timeshare presentation. What was supposed to be a short, “no-pressure” meeting turned into a 3-hour nightmare that completely derailed part of our family vacation in the Smokies. I called with a few simple questions about my booking, only for the rep to "accidentally" issue a refund. Suddenly, there was no availability for what I originally requested. Seriously?! There’s no pop-up confirmation before processing something like that? Don’t waste your time....
