Studio queen room on second floor overlooking Macrossan St, balcony with kitchenette and live music from the bar across the road👍. Giselle at reception was the most helpful we have come across and always available to advise on things to do or a chat when not busy. Recently renovated room had everything we required and will be returning next year.
This was the third time I have visited Port Douglas and by far the best place I have stayed. It is in a great location and exceptional value for money. Don't be fooled by the outer, dated exterior of this place. The room we had was beautifully renovated, spacious and well equipped for all our needs. Amazing location, staff were so attentive and helpful, went above and beyond everytime. Pool was great and we got many hours if joy from it! Room was nice but the furtiture, especially the beds, were so so bad. Would have been a 5 star review bar for the terrible furniture in the room and I beleive that its getting replaced. Would highly recommend, but might be worth an ask about the furniture if you value a good night sleep.
Club Tropical is the ideal location in Port Douglas. You can walk to everywhere. Whilst the rooms could do with some maintenance due to age our studio was much bigger than expected , clean and opened out onto a beautiful water garden full of lillies. A highlight was Gisela at reception. She is full of fun and laughter whilst at the same time professional and helpful. We give you a score of 20 out of 10 Gisela.
