About this business

Club Pheasant Restaurant was established in 1939 by Luisa and George Palamidessi. The original building dates back to 1912 and during the 1970s additional rooms and a patio was added. It is still run by the same family. Their lovely patio is adorned with a water feature, seasonal blooms and garden furniture. Their menu is a mix of Italian and American fare and still has dishes since its founding days. These include daily specials as well. Savor their Steak Sandwich, Mama Luisa’s Chicken, Fried Calamari, Lasagna, Pot Ro... read more

FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR A PARTY!!! We had a family party here in July 2013 and it is not what it used to be. We had about 70 people there and had dinner buffet style. The steak sandwiches, which I am told they are known for, were dry and there was no juice or condiments to put on them. The pasta dishes were ok, and you can't do wrong with green salad. The service was horrible. When we first got there we were bombarded with staff wanting to know if we wanted anything from the bar, but after that we were pretty much on our own... read more

CLUB PHEASANT, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY – I have lived here most of my life and why this place is still here is unknown. I go here once a year when my mom sends me a gift cert. I went Saturday and asked for prime rib, at about 6pm. The waitress says they have only a little left. She said they startde to serve prime rib at 5pm. Cmon, one hour later and its over. I waited for over an hour for a table then 30 min. to eat anything. The salad was small with a singler piece of a beet and 4 beans in it. The toasted ravioli was deep fr... read more

Great Food, Lousy atmosphere – Be warned, walking into this place lets you know its been there awhile. Smelled of sweatsocks and cigarette butts upon entering. it was scary beyond belief until the waitresses served us. it caters to an older crowd but as we all know, old people cook better than young ones. i tried the rack of pork with au jus and was delighted. It's mostly a la carte so to be safe i had the special with came with potatoes, green beans and carmelized apples (which were cold but i didnt care). it was slightly p... read more

Great Place for Italian – As a kid, i used to visit the Pheasant Club frequently. I moved away for school and when i came back it was just as i had remembered. The ceilings are high, the walls are pleasant, and the bar has that dark but welcoming feel to it. Outside, the patio is the setting for live music performances in the summer. The Pheasant club is one of the only places you can go and eat that has a family-and community-oriented atmosphere. The vibe is local and neighborhood-y, and in the daytime, a lot of customers m... read more

Past its prime – I've been eating at the "Pheas" since I was a kid in the 50s. I have an emotional attachment to the place. When Mama Palmadessi was alive, the food was heavenly. Each succeeding generation has looked for ways to cut costs resulting in lowering food quality and raising prices. Their signature dish the Garlic Steak Sandwich is a prime example. The quality of the meat has declined precipitously over the years and now they have changed the kind of bread they've used for generations due to the bakery going out of... read more

EW! – This restaurant smells bad. The pasta dishes are microwaved, not fresh to order. Who uses a microwave? Yuck! The ingredients are not of good quality either. The fried food is good, but that can be had anywhere. The bread is too greasy and also not the best bread. If you enjoy mediocre unhealthy food in a dirty environment served by disgruntled staff, then this is the place for you. Why go here when there is really good food just downtown?

Best Steak Sandwich in Town! – My mom always talked about this place when I was a kid. When I got a job close enough to go for lunch, I finally tried it. I am so glad I did! This is one of the best meal values I can find. The service isn't spectacular, but it is well made up for by the quality of the food. The steak sandwich has garlic butter in the roll which is wonderful. The steak is tender and generally cooked medium to medium rare; easy to bite and chew - not tough!! The choice for sides include homemade ravioli served ... read more

If you are looking for great food at a great price come to Club Pheasant. Well priced Italian food in huge portions will fill you up. Although this isn't the most romantic place in the world and is definetely lacking in ambiance, this is great for a casual meal. The food is terrific for lunch or dinner. Meals alos include soup, salad, entree, drink and dessert for around $13.
