Jim Horn of Cloudcap Construction has done several house projects for us. His rates are reasonable and he is highly skilled, reliable, and pleasant to deal with. We will continue to use Jim on future projects, and highly recommend him.
Did not seat interior doors, left huge gaps that are now a problem for homeowner refinishing wood floors. Was insolent toward homeowner asking why he installed an exterior door only half finished and with stain dripping down all over the window. Took the homeowners existing door without consent and claimed he planned to come back later to finish the door in a few weeks or months or so! Cloudcap built a deck and fence ,they were most professional and did great work,Mr Horn was on time and easy to work with,He did a neat and careful job,I would hire him again (and no I am not related to him)
Jim Horn with Cloudcap Construction did a great job for us. We had him install 2 decks which he did promptly and through the rain and snow. He is very conscientious and cost conscious. Now that it is spring, we are loving our decks and the backyard. Oh, by the way, he applied hemlock mulch and gravel after he finished to lessen the amount of mud tracked into the house. We are very satisfied and would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Contractor does BAD work – Poorly cut window and baseboard trim throughout house; unsightly globs and smears of calking/spackle; installed partially, poorly finished expensive new front door and took clients existing door all without owner consent; left a tub of mineral spirits with paint brush and an unsealed can of urethane unattended in home with pets inside; many other similar problems. Jim Horn, owner of Cloudcap Construction had to be replace. Major delays and additional expence to owner.
