Nice people, lots of things you wouldn't expect to be there.
We camped at Lake Harris and paddled out to cloud-splitter to get an ice cream. ( with the dog) Of course as soon as we got our ice cream thunder, lightning and torrential rain rolled in. Dave was wonderful, he invited us(including the dog) to relax in the store till the storm passed. He chated about the area and gave us lots of ideas for adventures. So wonderful and friendly. Also the store is well stocked with camp supplies and such. We were able to rent wheels to portage into Henderson lake. The most beautiful lake around... read more
Their store is always stocked well with supplies, and the owners are very nice and helpful.
Great place for canoes , kayaks, guides, rafting, you name it. Groceries . Ice. Camping gear. Best thing- advice from people who know the Adirondacks . Maybe they will even tell you their best fishing spot…(?)
