I’ve been popping into the NVFS Thrift Shop in Falls Church for a few months now, and it’s easily one of my favorite local spots to hunt for second-hand gems. The prices are actually reasonable, which is becoming rare for thrift stores these days. I’ve picked up some great quality kitchenware, a couple of vintage frames, and a practically brand-new wool sweater for under $10. Up until yesterday I loved shopping here. To my misfortune, a lovely piece of furniture which was confirmed to be on hold for me until close of day yesterday was sold to a customer earlier in the day either claiming to be me (my name and phone number were on the item) or hoodwinking the lovely volunteers into selling to her. Either way, when I arrived in the afternoon to pick it up, it was gone. I was assured and promised it would be set aside for me within the designated time frame. One of the best thrift stores that I have been to. They were constantly bringing out new items and putting on the shelves. Color coded days with already great prices.

Very well-organized and well-curated selection. We went in for furniture specifically (success!) so I can’t speak to the clothing but I would definitely return to look through the items!
