Today, for the second business day in a row, the Clinical Pathology Laboratories office at Bailey Square, Austin, TX, failed to be able to find EITHER of TWO blood-draw orders that had been faxed, and then re-faxed, to it by TWO different medical practices. This is an example of infuriating incompetence.
Called this lab Friday in am to explain I needed to bring in a stool for C Diff but didn't have a container was told a clean container was fine and when I got there I could transfer the stool into one of theirs. When I got there it was busy and no one was at the desk, waited until someone came to the front desk and then I explained I had the stool I gave her the Order I had the stool in a sterile container that my husband got from work it had sterile NS in it which I poured out and then put the stool in the container. Tiny lab, they don't know what they are doing, and its been over a month and they still haven't sent the results to my doctor. I would rather leave town than go to these incompetent people who clearly don't know their job. I would give them no stars if possible.
