I used to love coming to this practice but as of 3 months ago, I do not feel the same way. I went in for a yearly visit in January which is covered by my insurance and doesn't carry a copay. Because I turned 40 this year, my nurse practitioner, Tanya Johnson, said that I needed to have an ECG done, which I did. It was explained to me that this NP required it so we did it. They no longer care for the patients. It's gone down hill but the suspicious billing has increase. Somebody call OIG. You check your self in 30 times before the appointment, get there, get handed an IPAD to do it again with not even a hello. No names given, just a lot of what they don't do. What for about 10 minutes go back and sit for 15 minutes, speak to the physician for 5 mins. Then you get a bill for two visit because you were asked if you need a refill. I have been a patient at this practice for approximately 21 years, originally under the care of Lisa Piastrelli, PA. During her time as my provider, I had nothing but positive experiences with both her and Clinical Associates. Unfortunately, since her retirement and the subsequent transfer of patients to Andrea Holzman and now to Tanya Johnson the quality of care and communication has significantly declined. I have been a patient since 2011. Unfortunately, the office does not respond to voicemails, patient portal messages, or pharmacy requests. I should not have to repeatedly try to contact the office without receiving a response. Because of this ongoing issue, I will be seeking care with a different primary care provider.
Dr. Mathews is a very nice cardiologist. His staff is nice too.
