The doctors I've interacted with and most of the reception staff are compassionate and knowledgeable. One receptionist however, (I think she said her name was Jen) has twice now been abrupt and uncaring about the consequences of my eating disorder plan claim not being processed by Medicare. When I spoke to her the second time I was cut off with "call Medicare" before I could explain I'd already spoken to Medicare about the issue, and they couldn't even see the claim in their system. Their booking system is illogical and inflexible. All I needed was a prescription for a basic medicine already on my record that I've been taking for 15 years, but because I haven't been to this specific clinic before they require a 30 MINUTE consultation. Not only is this a waste of everyone's time and my money, but there are no 30min slots available for over a week. I tried calling and their staff refused to be flexible on this.

My GP picked up that I was having serious health issues even though I was not acknowledging that this was so. The matter was diligently and intelligently followed up, not a simple task. This is not the first time that this clinic has picked up health issues for my family. it is due to them we are still active and contributing to society.

Have recently been to CHMG and am reminded of why I have been going there for so long. Welcoming and helpful reception staff, caring doctors who clearly are up with latest developments in health care and are professional and thorough. Thank you Lora and Jane for such a quality practice .
