He lets me know in detail what he did and why, and if I don't understand something he explains it simply and kindly, never insulting my intelligence. When I needed an emergency service he couldn't provide immediately, he named some other places I could go, and when I asked which he recommended he was honest and professional in saying he had heard less than savory things about one of them.
