In an 8 day period visited the emergency room 3 times and after a few CT Scans was sent home with no diagnosis and on the 3rd time theycalled in a neurologist and found that i had been experiencing a stroke all 8 days and hospitalized me and NOW i suffer from diminished vision andconstant ear ringing. The lab staff leaves a lot to be desired. Super rude and unaccommodating.
North..Scotts Hill....MRI, canceled twice. 90 minute drive each way. Idiot tech! DA! A MRI is a diagnostic tool! Since pain management has severely injured me, the test is needed to be treated! His suggestion, that if I can't sit in his chair that I should go to the emergency department. Look at the referral! It's from pain management! Which MEANS, no other Dr can give me anything for pain! But then, that's above his qualifications! But HE DECIDES MY FUTURE....SERIOUSLY!!!....?
Failed to perform standard annual testing that resulted in a missed cancer diagnosis
Health care in The Wilmington area is not as good in comparison to other cities. The board of New Hanover Medical Center should be ashamed of themselves for giving in to the almighty dollar of Novant Health. How can a non profit organization justify the $5 million paid to their ceo. Other executives receiving $1.5 million in salary. More doctors and nurses are needed and maybe could be hired if these exorbitant wages were reduced to an amount comparable to the work performed. How is anybody worth this salary.
I am giving this a 2 star rating because the hospital administration needs significant improvement. My father has been in this hospital for a week, after having surgery. The nurses are great, but my father has had some difficulty hearing from the doctors. But the worst issue happened last night. He was taken to radiology for a MRI. He was brought back to his room several hours later without having the MRI done because the machine they needed to use was broken. They left him alone in the hallway for an hour! He was rude, condescending, rolled his eyes at me, laughed at me and wouldn’t even look where I was showing him the issue was and wouldn’t listen to what I had to say, bad bedside manner
My husband was referred here by his GP the first week of September. We never heard from them to set up an appointment. I called 3 weeks ago, no answer. I called again, no answer so I left a message which has never been returned. Asking his GP to refer my husband to another office since this one doesn't seem to need patients.
Would have been 5 stars but the girl at the front door who was making sure all patients/ visitors had a mask on was rude and seemed to hate her job. Terrible first impression of this place! Everyone else was nice and friendly.
