Terrible customer service at the power outage dispatch office. I have been without power since 8/6/24 . Today is Wednesday August 14,2024 and still no power. I called the dispatch office and i can hear laughing and joking in the background. The manager (D) as he said his name was, took my call as a joke . No empathy what''so ever. And his employee named Luis very unprofessional and rude. Terrible,Terrible Company
CPP is horrible now I will start by saying the current situation is my fault with life being so crazy I was behind in payments and service was disconnected. But I immediately rectified the issue and made payment so that my service could be restored. The rep I spoke with was very unprofessional and not customer oriented at all. The payment has been made I was given no time estimate of when to have service restored just as soon as possible. CPP doesn't respect its customers, especially when your power is out, you call to inquire what is going on. They reply "our team is working on it." But there isn't a crew around doing squat. We have been without power now for going on 24 hours, but all "customer service" can do is hang up on you!? What kind of PR is this? This is a heartless company who needs serious professional training in Public Relations. Especially the ignorant overnight crew who is POed they are working while their friends are out partying!!
Cleveland Public Power employees are extremely disrespectful when they shouldn't be especially when they're scamming us. Everyone should leave so they go out of business. The last call I made they told me that "If I ask to speak to a supervisor then I'll end up having to pay more". That made no sense so no thankyou that I would allow someone to pimp me. I pass on using this company further. I rather pay thousands of dollars to switch and get new equipment then to deal with this ghetto, unprofessional company.
Cleveland Public Power shut down my account without my authorization or knowledge. I hadn't received a bill since September and it's now December a few days before January, 2023. We go online to pay our bill and all we see is a $0 balance for October. My husband and I called multiple times within a month with out getting the issue resolved. They gave no plausible reason only to say that another tenant that moved into our apartment building using them as their electric company gave the same address. Adjustment charge is to high. 40 something dollars? And then you drop it in half to 20 something and now sneaking the prices back up. I’m paying 33.20 for adjustment charge and I know cpp is going to shoot the prices all the way up again. The workers are very mean and disrespectful also. I call to ask questions and get yelled at. CPP had been normally charging for my electricity upto 11/2021. Then as of December 2021, the bill has escalated to almost double with no explanation as to why this amount was going up. I feel they didn't supply further information as to why the hugh increase from 71590 to the amount of 72934 KWH usage. I didn't add new appliances or lighting to have increased this amount. Overall a horrible experience. Long hold times calling in and after disconnecting service at a former apartment they continue to send bills stating they didn’t see my disconnecting notice. Used emails as proof of termination and no response from them to date. This company is lucky they have a monopoly on different areas of Cleveland to keep them in business.
