My daughter has severe anxiety when it comes to dental work and she has been to a lot due to having braces. A little back story as well. She is blind so not being able to see what everything is also makes things more scary for her. The staff here were absolutely amazing with her. They were patient and very gentle with her. They used numbing gel to numb things before giving her the shots to actually numb things and they used nitrous which really helped out. I took my 3 year old here for his first dental cleaning, last week; he did amazing! This place on the other hand was not welcoming for me as his mother. My son was called a “she” by the dr as if his chart was not in front of her face. Which was an insult, I wasn’t sure if she was being shady or just a moron. I then corrected her. The dr was awkward altogether. I can tell she was uncomfortable, possibly bc of my race, I’m not oblivious, I see everything. I felt HIGHLY uncomfortable/unsafe with their level of care and left before they started (not because of general dental anxiety) because I felt like they were just going to play in my mouth. All of the dental staff seemed to be in residency, I was told that they wanted the dentist to get more hands on experience working in the field, this makes sense, everyone has to start somewhere. Do not recommend. This was the first year we gave them a chance . I went multiple times this summer for myself and my family’s regular visits and the kids were also unhappy. The reception is okay, wait times can be unbelievable, and the dentist may try to have you come back another day to finish work if they started your appointment late, even if you were on time. But the part that is the most frustrating is the pain and sensitivity I still have months later from getting a cavity treated. I’ve never had this happen from any ... read more
