The quality of their food has gone down hill. The crust is completely different, it’s like pre made? It’s weird and thin and chewy. Nothing like it was a couple years ago. Waaay too expensive.
This is really a great pizza place. They had come a long way and they make amazing pizza. If you love toppings and wood fire pizza, this is the place to go. I would reccomend the Caprese pizza (picture on D's review). Good for those who love outdoors as well. There are good pizza places in the area, so if you don't like Clemenza's, would recommend Sorrento or bNapoli, which are both better for takeout and large parties than Clemenzas.
Went to this restaurant on an early weekday afternoon with my girlfriend. She absolutely loves the pressed sandwiches and has been consistently trying to get me to go with her. I finally caved in when I was extremely hungry and we were going to pass by. We were given the option to sit inside or outside, and we chose to sit outside given that the weather was excellent. I planned to meet my friend for lunch. I sat down and heard the host/waiter begin to berate workers in the kitchen. After a few minutes, it seemed like his parents came in and the waiter started telling them that he could not speak with them because he didn't have any help. They kept trying to speak but they were dismissed several times and sworn at. A party of 6 came in and their orders were taken in a rush. Waiter continued to go in the kitchen and swore at them about the orders. After 20 minutes, I paid my bill and left.
