After living in all quadrants of our country I moved to Clearwood and have lived happily here for 35 years. You couldn't pay me enough to move somewhere else. I've had wonderful neighbors, and I like that all the lake front is communally owned. Lots are small, but there are many large swaths of greenbelt that gives a feeling of seclusion.
I was looking to purchase property/home in this community which looks like a great place with good homes and lots. After dealing with the management a few times I found that they were very curt. Not approachable at all, definitely turned me off to the area. I received an HOA fee/fine price structure; I don't think I have ever seen as many fines and fees listed from an HOA/Management as this one has for their community. Example a 6k dollar fee paid to the association just to purchase an empty lot seems awfully high.
They will nickle and dime you for everything. Area is beautiful to live in.
