Stayed here quite a few years back when they had a king, not bunks. Very cool cabin. All kinds of small critters to photograph around all them stumps.
Cute old lookout house. It comes with everything you need besides food, water, and sleeping bag.
Pros: Great, well stocked, spacious, and clean cabin. Propane lights, fridge, stove. Beautiful views and various trails to explore. Plenty of huckleberry picking spots. Cons: located just off a busier forest road, lookout tower and parking area seem to be a popular place for people to rendezvous. Many vehicles come up to the cabin area from early morning till evening. Not a place to rent if your you’re hoping for privacy/solitude.
We stayed at the Clearwater Lookout for 2 nights. Cozy cabin with beautiful views. Thankful for a working stove and oven (propane). The furnace in the bedroom heated quickly and the heat rose to the top bunks fast! Bring headlamps for night time walks to the outhouse
