A longleaf pine forest and wiregrass ecosystem surrounds the 32-acre lake and provides a beautiful, shaded, wooded setting for the campground, a day-use picnic area, beach and a nature trail.

What an incredible place to camp off grid! This gem in the Ocala State Forest offers everything you’d want in a vacation. From kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddle boarding to hiking, bird watching or just relaxing this recreational area offers it all. Run by Terry and Jerry, two incredibly friendly and helpful people, we had an amazing experience as first time visitors and will be camping here again soon.
Spent the long weekend camping here at it was amazing. The campsites were clean, trash removed daily, clean bathrooms, and hot showers. The lake is gorgeous and not an alligator in sight. It is crystal clear and the fish swim around you. This is not specific to this campsite but I have found Ocala to be infested with ticks, so just be careful.
Quiet gem nestled in the woods but not too far from civilization. The lake is generally an excellent temperature for summer swimming. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked.
I love it here, I call it the Central Florida beach!
