I moved my 91 year old father to Clearwater at Glendora after a long period of health problems and stress on my family. His condition worsened quickly, and his Alzheimer's took a toll. The staff at Clearwater was a God-send. A weight was lifted from my shoulders, and they cared for him with compassion and tenderness. It was the first time in years that I felt he was safe. I am so thankful that we chose Clearwater. Thank you to the staff.
We have had our family member in Clearwater since early 2023. Service has changed since the influx of people moving in. Nurses are understaffed and overwhelmed. The response time to help the residents is terrible. Meals are being served late and sometimes cold due to staffing issues. We are thinking of moving our family member out due to these reasons. We don’t feel safe having them here anymore. It looks nice but don’t be fooled.
I honestly don't know why anyone would consider living at a luxury resort retirement community that "saves" money by paying vital customer service staff the rock-bottom state minimum wage. The minimum wage of $16/hour is $4/hour less than a 16 year old high school kid makes at the local McDonald's for goodness sake. Why would this company try to save $40/week when they could attract a top notch motivated employee for a little more money? Shaking my head....
We were looking for an assisted living place for my mother and I started looking into this place. I made an appointment with Malina Walter, Sales Director last Tuesday. As I entered the facility I was immediately impressed at how beautiful and clean it is inside. The hallways are decorated with beautiful artwork. I am incredibly impressed with Clearwater at Glendora. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being of the residents.
