I don't know what the standard is when it comes to caring for patients, but I know for sure that the staff at this surgery centre far exceeded any expectations. The check-in and surgery preparation was seamless and all the nurses and anaesthesiologists were extremely patient and friendly. My mother just had her surgery recently and the service here was absolutely horrible. She had her chest operated on and she was in a huge amount of pain while still feeling the effects of medication. The nurses only gave her an hour to rest, and then proceeded to kick her out saying she needed to leave. I understand if they were busy with other patients but the least they could’ve done is have pity on my mother because she is still recovering from her surgery. I went to False Creek Healthcare Centre for lower back surgery, at L2-L3 & L4-L5. Dr. Cho's operating team were caring, detailed in explaing each step of the procedures. Others that I came in contact with such as Candace "Pre-op", Post Care group "Kimberly & Kathlaine", and lastly Lorna "SDC", were all great! The only downside I had was that I was not informed that "only patients" were allowed on the premises. My wife and the other group who were waiting to get in, were dissappointed.
