Was very clear and honest about what he does
All of these negative reviews are spot on and what I experienced. I wish I had read the reviews before I allowed my bank to use them. My bank was even suspect and ordered another review be done. They were ignored so I had to order another appraisal out of pocket. The second appraisal company came in 50,000 higher and on target with what everyone familiar with my area expected.
Worst appraisal company ever! The guy was very unprofessional. Talked about very inappropriate things and made me feel very uncomfortable. He attached appraisals not even comparable to my home. For instance a 3 bdrm 2 bath to my 5 bdrm 3 bath. When we disputed the appraisal he sent it all back stating all other homes were better than mine. Almost single-handedly blew up our real estate deal. It is a rare occurrence for both the buyer AND the seller to have cause to file a complaint against an appraiser, however, that is exactly what happened here.
This guy is very unprofessional. Tried talking to him with regards of homes. He basically refused to use any comps that matched home in square footage. Sad when people around me are getting $150/ft and a brand new house is getting $129/ft. Doesn’t make sense and I will be filing a complaint with the appraisal board. All he would say on comps is this house has superior finishes. When I listed comparison he wouldn’t talk about it anymore. Do not use him!!
